KRISTY HUNTER: “I have just completed the Reformer Instructor Course at Addicted to Pilates. I couldn’t recommend it more to anyone wanting a nourishing and welcoming environment to learn in. Oli, the Studio Owner and Teacher throughout this course, doesn’t “teach” in the traditional method of learning. Instead, the intensely passionate Oli, “shares” her knowledge, “imparts” her skills and “praises” your accomplishments as her own. With a perfectly balanced ratio of theory to practical, this course went so fast and I was sad when it was over. I am now planning to enrol in the Mat Pilates Instructor Course so I can soak in some more pilates inspiration to share with the wider community.”

RITA ZIOLKOWSKI: “Taking part in the Addicted to Pilates Reformer Instructor Course has been a fantastic experience. The course was thorough, with comprehensive Anatomy and practical modules, and a great balance between theory and hands-on training. I especially appreciated the built-in teaching component, which allowed me to practice in a supportive environment. Our instructor Oli was enthusiastic, passionate, and always encouraging. I finished the course feeling empowered and confident, ready to teach Reformer Pilates and share my growing love for Pilates with others.”

AILEEN MCBURNEY: “11 out of 10 – I am super satisfied. I enjoyed EVERYTHING about the Course. Understanding the exercises was super helpful for me, as I can cue the exercises better. I loved the practice teaching sessions too. Very grateful to our Instructor Trainers, Oli and Deb for sharing their wisdom, experiences and insights.”

YUNI YOUNG: “What stood out for me about this Course is the amount of resources provided and the ample support from our Instructor Trainers, as well as the variety of learning methods: observations, practical and face to face sessions.”

JULIE ARICO: “The training hours were so valuable, the friendly and approachable environment and teachers made me feel comfortable and ask any questions. Thank you for providing us with an amazing course!”

Whether You want to fast-track Your certification or take Your time, our courses are designed to adapt to Your schedule.

ONLINE COURSES
For our online Reformer, Barre, and Mat Instructor Courses, You have up to one year from registration to complete Your certification.

The duration depends on how much time You want to commit – You can fast-track Your learning and complete it in just a few weeks, or take Your time and progress at a pace that suits You. With 12 months of access to course materials from the registration date, You can always revisit the content as needed.

Becoming a confident, skilled and well-rounded Pilates instructor requires more than just learning theory – it’s about practicing, observing and embodying the Pilates method. That is why our courses include self-development hours, giving participants essential hands-on experience before they begin teaching professionally.

These hours are self-logged and include:

20 Observation Hours – Watching experienced instructors teach is a powerful learning tool. By observing different teaching styles, cueing techniques and class structures, you will gain valuable insight into how to effectively lead a class, correct form and create engaging client experiences.

20 Participation Hours – Experiencing Pilates as a student is key to understanding movement from a client’s perspective. These hours help you refine your own technique, feel the exercises in your body, and develop a deeper connection with the repertoire you will be teaching.

10 Practice Teaching Hours – Confidence comes with practice! These hours provide the space to apply what you have learned, refine your cueing, adapt exercises for different clients and receive valuable feedback. The more you teach, the more naturally and effectively your skills will flow.

These hours can be completed in-person or online; however, we strongly encourage participants to complete as many as possible in real-life class settings.

This allows you to:

Experience the energy and flow of a live class.
Observe how instructors manage client dynamics and deliver hands-on corrections.
Build confidence teaching and cueing in front of others.
Ask questions and interact with real clients and instructors.
Develop communication, presence and professionalism in a studio setting.

We also recommend choosing one or more studios near you where you can genuinely see yourself teaching once certified. Consider joining their classes through a membership, class pack or casual drop-in to complete your observation and participation hours. This not only helps you get familiar with the studio’s environment, instructors and class style, but also gives the team a chance to get to know you — opening doors for future opportunities.

While online observation and practice are helpful, nothing compares to the immersive learning that happens when you’re part of a real-life studio environment. These hours ensure you graduate not only with knowledge but with the readiness to step into a professional class and lead with clarity and confidence.

The Reformer and Mat Pilates face-to-face courses include Practice Teaching Sessions, which are not compulsory but highly recommended. These sessions provide an invaluable opportunity for course participants to gain additional hands-on experience, reinforce the knowledge acquired during the training, and clarify any lingering questions. While participants engage in practice throughout the face-to-face component, these sessions are designed to deepen the practical aspect of their training.

Since many participants do not have access to Reformer machines outside of the course, these sessions are especially beneficial.

These sessions allow participants to receive guidance from experienced teacher trainers, ask questions, refine their technique, and gain constructive feedback in a supportive setting. Having expert mentorship during this stage can make all the difference in feeling prepared and confident before teaching real classes.

WHY PRACTICAL TEACHING SESSIONS?
The practical side of teaching is what almost all new instructors struggle with once they have finished their course—and with our sessions, this challenge is addressed head-on. These practice sessions are designed to:

Build Confidence – Develop the self-assurance needed to lead a class effectively.
Refine Teaching Techniques – Perfect cueing, modifications, and hands-on adjustments.
Receive Guidance & Ask Questions – Get expert mentorship in a structured and supportive environment.
Feel Prepared – Walk away with the skills and confidence to teach with skill and poise.

If You are doing a Reformer Instructor Course, You will have the opportunity to practice teaching a class on the reformer machines in an environment that is closest to a group class setting.

These sessions provide a critical bridge between learning and teaching, setting You up for success in your Pilates instructor journey.

The complimentary phone consultations are included exclusively for Students enrolled in our online Instructor Courses.

As part of Your online course, You will receive two complimentary 45-minute private phone consultations with our experienced educator team. These sessions are completely one-on-one and designed to provide personalised support alongside Your online learning.

You can use these calls to:
Ask questions about course content or assessments
Gain clarity around exercises, cueing, sequencing, or class planning
Receive personalised teaching feedback and guidance
Check in on Your progress, confidence, or readiness to teach
Discuss working as a Pilates instructor, studio expectations or industry insights
Explore starting Your own Pilates business, independent teaching, pricing or early business considerations
Talk through next steps, goal setting and career direction

In addition to the phone consultations, You will have access to ongoing online support within Your course portal, allowing You to ask questions and stay connected throughout Your learning journey.

These consultations are designed to ensure You feel supported, confident and guided throughout Your online course experience.
